What Does Comprehensive Coverage Cover?

In short, comprehensive coverage covers theft, fire, vandalism, glass/windshield damage, hail, weather/acts of nature, accidents with animals.

QUICK EXAMPLE Let’s say you have a $1,000 deductible, and a deer runs out in front of your vehicle and causes $4,000 in damage. You need to file an insurance claim. Usually, it is best to call in the claim because the DETAILS MATTER. You will pay the $1,000 out of pocket, and your insurer will pay the remaining $3,000.

The more clarification and urgency that can be expressed in a call will typically result in a much faster claim process, thus resulting in quicker payment and possible  faster repair time.

REPAIR OR REPLACE?  When your windshield has been damaged, it is essential to get this fixed ASAP.  Many people each year are killed or severely injured where the cracked windshield has not been repaired/replaced, and the cracked area spread to a point where when an accident occurs, or when a person has to stop abruptly, the windshield has landed on the driver and passengers.
