“What do you mean, it’s not covered?”

Endorsements (aka riders) allow you to customize your policy to meet your specific needs.

Being aware of optional endorsements you can potentially add to your policy will save you a lot of headaches, time, and out of pocket money. While some add-ons vary by state and by company, other more common endorsements to be familiar with are:

  • Towing & Labor
  • GAP insurance
  • Customized parts/equipment
  • Extended transportation/Rental Reimbursement

Each of these endorsements and their benefits are explained in our premium content.

Golden Point: If you make physical changes to your vehicle; such as aftermarket tires, wheels, stereos/sound systems, engine, body kits, spoilers, wheel arches, flared wings, valances, brakes, suspension, gears, any racing element, interior (including dashboards), tinted windows, and under-car neon lights, YOU are responsible for notifying your insurer to ensure these are included for coverage.  If not notified, in a claim situation regarding the add-on, the claim may be denied.
